Netflix has announced plans to acquire Warner Bros., a deal that would merge one of the world’s largest streaming platforms with one of Hollywood’s most iconic studios. The agreement, which still requires regulatory approval, would bring major franchises like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Friends, and the DC Universe under the same umbrella as Stranger Things, Wednesday, and other Netflix originals. Both Netflix and HBO Max will continue operating separately for now as the companies move through the approval process.
