81-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Submerged Vehicle at Hamilton Park Boat Launch near Stanwood

STANWOOD, WASHINGTON – An 81-year-old man was found dead inside a vehicle pulled from the water at the Hamilton Park boat launch on Monday.

Stanwood police responded to reports of a submerged vehicle and located it about 10 feet underwater. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Dive Team assisted in recovering the vehicle, where they discovered the man inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities do not suspect foul play, but the incident remains under investigation. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the man’s identity and the cause of death.
