SEATTLE METRO AREA — Climate Pledge Arena will host comedian Dave Chappelle for a headlining performance on Dec. 9, 2025, marking one of the larger comedy events announced so far for next year. Tickets went on sale this past week, and a strong turnout is anticipated given Chappelle’s history of selling out arena-level venues nationwide.

The Seattle date will follow Chappelle’s typical phone-free format. Climate Pledge Arena is advising guests to leave all electronic devices at home, aside from the smartphone required for ticket entry. Upon arrival, each device will be secured in a Yondr pouch that remains locked for the duration of the show and can only be opened at designated stations as attendees exit. Venue officials say anyone attempting to access a device inside the performance space will be escorted out by security. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to account for the additional check-in steps.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. The event includes an eight-ticket limit per person and per credit card. Climate Pledge Arena will offer accessible seating, mobility accommodations and interpretive services for guests who request them ahead of time.

Chappelle’s appearance adds to an increasingly active entertainment calendar for Seattle in 2025, pairing a major touring act with a strictly enforced, distraction-free environment intended to preserve the live experience.
