New Truck Shop, Café, Lynden Ice Expansion and more coming to Lynden

LYNDEN, Washington – Lynden continues to see steady growth in business and industrial activity, with several notable projects underway. Here is an overview of the latest developments in the area:

Open Windows Establishes a Lynden Facility

The Canadian company Open Windows, known for preparing panes of glass for window manufacturing, is building a new facility at 2301 Main Street. This expansion adds to their existing operations in Richmond, British Columbia, located at 1600 Savage Road, V6V 3A9.

Lynden Door Adds New Truck Shop

Lynden Door is constructing a new truck shop at 8317 Guide Meridian, adjacent to the recently completed SpeedPro Truckstop. This addition will support their logistical operations and further strengthen the industrial infrastructure in the area.

Lynden Ice Plans Expansion

Lynden Ice has submitted building permits for a new facility on its current property. The expansion will enhance their capacity while maintaining their established footprint.

New Openings at Lynden Commons

The newly opened Woods Coffee at Lynden Commons provides another convenient location for residents and visitors to enjoy. Nearby, the recently completed Cobblestone Hotel is now fully operational, offering modern accommodations in the area.

Safeway Introduces Drive-Up Service

Safeway is making structural modifications to its Lynden store to facilitate Drive Up and Go, a service aimed at enhancing convenience for customers opting for grocery pick-up.

Community and Smaller Projects

  • Jewel Café: A youth center and coffee shop at 508 Front Street is nearing completion. Known as Jewel Café, the project has been largely constructed by volunteers, reflecting Lynden’s strong community involvement.
  • Indoor Kids Playground: The City of Lynden recently issued a business license for an indoor kids’ playground. Although the location is still to be determined, this initiative is expected to offer a new recreational space for families.
