LYNDEN, WA — A new student-led chapter of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has been formed at Lynden High School, according to a post shared in the Lynden Neighbors Facebook group earlier today. The organizers say they have received confirmation to officially start the chapter and have submitted the necessary charter documentation to establish it on campus.
According to the announcement, the group currently consists of three student leaders who will serve as president, vice president, and treasurer/secretary. Their goal is to form an official school club, which would allow members to meet every other Wednesday morning to discuss and plan events. To gain recognition as a formal club, they are seeking 10–30 interested students, with ten being the minimum required by the school.
The organizers stated that the post was made to share information, not to debate politics or opinions. They also created an Instagram page under the handle @tpusa.lyndenhs, where updates about the chapter will be posted.
Turning Point USA is a national student organization, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated by a roof-top sniper on September 10, 2025. The organization promotes political engagement and activism on high school and college campuses. The new Lynden chapter would be among a growing number of TPUSA student groups across Washington State and the nation.
Bellingham Metro News has reached out to the organizers of the chapter, as well as the Lynden School District, for comment and a possible interview to learn more about how this new student-led organization plans to engage with the school community and broader public discussions.
