A Life of Service and Dedication

Known for his sense of humor and strong work ethic, he was always willing to take on the toughest tasks, bringing positivity and laughter even on the hardest days.
The Incident
On the morning of January 28, 2025, Brandon was involved in a fatal workplace accident while working in a construction zone near East Smith Road and Noon Road in Whatcom County. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a red 2019 Western Star commercial vehicle (note: that is the make and model of vehicle, not an actual company name) was reversing along the right shoulder of eastbound Smith Road. At the same time, Brandon was walking westbound on the same shoulder when the vehicle tragically struck him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Community Support
Brandon’s passing has left an immense void in the hearts of his loved ones and colleagues. In this difficult time, the community is coming together to support Karie and Cerinaty. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with expenses, providing a way for those who knew and cared for Brandon to help his family navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Donations can be made through the official GoFundMe page, with all proceeds going directly to his wife and daughter.
Brandon’s memory will live on through the love he shared, the friendships he built, and the laughter he brought to those around him. His family, friends, and coworkers ask for continued thoughts and prayers as they honor his life and legacy.
“Semper Fi, Brandon – you are deeply missed.” said the campaigns organizer Andrea Frakes.
