Photo submitted to Bellingham Metro News following a reported John Cena sighting in Bellingham on Friday.
BELLINGHAM, Wash. โ Bellingham Metro News can confirm that actor and WWE legend John Cena was in Bellingham this week following multiple sightings around the city and photos submitted directly to our newsroom.
Heather Dawn Kirkey Lawler submitted several photos to BMN showing Cena outside Liminal Cafe at 1312 F Street, located at the Lighthouse Missionโs New Life Center. Lawler said the sighting happened at approximately 9:47 a.m. Friday.
โAfter he was there he went to Camber Coffee too,โ Lawler told BMN, adding that one of her coworkers also got photos with him.

Several other Bellingham-area residents have reported seeing Cena around downtown in recent days.
After our newsroom asked readers for additional information, people shared accounts of seeing him at local coffee shops and other locations around the city.
A separate public post from Dubsea also showed a man identified as Cena at a Bellingham gas station next to a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon pumping gas, even sparking online memes of him “grimacing at the fuel prices”.
Taken together with the photos and eyewitness accounts submitted directly to us, the reports establish that Cena has been spending time in Bellingham.
His appearance comes as a major studio feature film production continues work throughout the Bellingham area.
In recent days, production trailers, buses, Sprinter vans, equipment and groups of people believed to be connected to the production have been spotted at several locations. Activity has been reported around downtown Bellingham, the Meridian Street area and locations near Mount Baker.
What remains unclear is whether Cena is involved in that production.
Bellingham Metro News has not received confirmation from the studio, production company or Cenaโs representatives connecting him to the film.
Still, John Cena showing up in Bellingham while a major studio feature film is being produced across the area is not an everyday occurrence. The timing has naturally raised questions about whether the two are connected.
Remember: Yes, you do have First Amendment rights to film and take photos in public where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. If you see Mr. Cena in public, please still be mindful and respectful of his personal boundaries. He is a person just like anyone else.
Another Photo From Friday Morning
Another photo shared with Bellingham Metro News shows Jason Long posing with Cena inside Liminal Cafe at the Lighthouse Missionโs New Life Center.
Long appears to be a Lighthouse Mission staff member.
The photo appears to have been taken during the same Friday morning visit documented in the other images submitted to BMN. Cena is seen wearing the same black shirt, shorts and silver watch visible in the earlier photos.
A bag visible along the lower left side of the image also appears consistent with the bag seen in the earlier photos outside the building.
Bellingham is a city of roughly 100,000 people in north-western Washington and is the largest city in Whatcom County. That makes the simultaneous presence of a major film production and one of the most recognizable professional wrestlers and actors in the country particularly noticeable locally.
For now, Cenaโs involvement in the production remains unconfirmed.
Bellingham Metro News will continue following the production and will report additional information as it is confirmed.
