BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Emergency crews are responding to an expanded traffic collision at the roundabout of Mount Baker Highway and East Smith Road Friday evening.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:46 p.m. Sept. 18, according to PulsePoint. Multiple Whatcom County Fire and EMS units were dispatched, with several engines and other emergency vehicles responding to the scene.
A reader told Bellingham Metro News that an ambulance arrived at the scene at approximately 8 p.m. Another witness reported seeing multiple law enforcement vehicles heading toward the area shortly after the initial dispatch.
The circumstances surrounding the collision, including the number of vehicles involved and whether anyone was injured, were not immediately known.
Drivers traveling through the area should use caution and expect possible delays while emergency crews work at the scene.
