BELLINGHAM, Wash. — J.Crew Factory appears to be preparing to open a new store in Bellingham, according to permit records filed with the City of Bellingham this week.
Bellingham Metro News found building permit BLD2026-0702, submitted Sept. 16 for a nonresidential tenant improvement at 226 36th Street.
The permit describes the project as a new retail store in an existing space for J.Crew Factory. City records also identify J.Crew as the business and tenant associated with the project.
The address places the proposed store at or immediately adjacent to the Bank of the Pacific loan center building, next to CVS in Sehome Village. The permit records do not yet make clear which specific storefront or portion of the property J.Crew Factory would occupy.
The application is currently listed as applied, meaning the main building permit has not yet been approved, issued or finalized. Separate plumbing and mechanical permits connected to the project have also been submitted.
This comes as Jersey Mike’s. Another national brand is preparing to open in the same shopping center.
Pulley Studios of San Francisco is listed as the applicant. City records show $2,912.30 in fees associated with the permit, including $1,912.30 for building plan review and $1,000 for fire plan review.
